Jon Bentley sees how three budget 5G smartphones fare on a whistle-stop tour of Liverpool. Along with Ortis Deley, Jon also looks over some astronomy-related tech. Georgie Barrat assesses the best headphones available for under £50, while Harry Wallop looks an app that promises to not only help people save on the food bill, but also prevent waste. Craig Charles offers a rundown of the hottest deals from the tech world and a brand-new competition that is anything but budget.

1. THE JON TEST:  At the top of this Budget Special Jon tests out 3, 5G smart phones with Jackie a local Tour Guide from Liverpool and Liverpool being the first to be 5G, 1,Motorola Moto G 5G Plus ( the winner of the 3) 2,OnePlus Nord N10 5G, and 3,OPPO Reno4 Z 5G that was good for gaming
2. QUIZ: Just before going to an add break Craig sets a quiz – When was the first mobile phone call made in Britain?  A: 1975  B: 1990  C: 1985 (answer is C) on vodaphone
3. MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK: a new segment where all the gang presents there best budget gadget. Starting with JON,Ring Video Doorbel Wired, GEORGY,Nokia 1.3 and finally ORTIS,Majority Soundbar. Craig then decides the best of the 3 but decides they are all worthy of the winner.

6. BUDGET TECH FOR THE STARS: next up is Rory ,aka Astro Biscuit, with Gadgets for taking pictures of the stars. JON starts with the MIOPS Capsule 360.  ORTIS,Google Pixel 5 and finally GEORGIE, with the Winner The Vaonis STELLINA. An amazing way to photograph the stars but way to expensive for a Budget special at £3,000
